Mumbai: Poonam Pandey, the well known Strip model confirmed that she will soon appear in a film, playing a lead role based on her life. She said that the movie will also feature a stunning actor beside her. According to sources Poonam is currently engaged in solving negotiations with the producers to sign her as the leading lady in monetary terms. Poonam told that the producers are yet to decide whether she will do two or three films with them. Ponnam further stated that the movie is very glamorous and the character she will be playing is very close to her real life.
According to sources she promised that she will get much dirtier than Vidya Balan in her so called movie The Dirty Picture and claims that every Bikini possible in the world is worn by her and that she doesn’t hesitate to act in a bikini if hr role demands it. The lady wants to do something that the entire industry has not done before.
It seems a hard competition for Poonam against international models now acting in the bollywood industry like Amy Jackson, Angela Jonsson and Lisa Haydon. But the actress boldly states that these ‘firangi’ faces stands no competition when she is involved. She added that she is not over confident but she knows for sure that no one can compete with her.
According to Poonam, she took acting classes since her modeling days and was really moved by belly dancing. She has denied many offers of item numbers (as told by her) as she doesn’t want her career in the industry grow that way. Sounds strange but this are the truth conveyed by the model. Poonam doesn’t have a wish list of the actors she wants to act with but according to her there is one she is keen to be in a movie with the current heart throb of the nation ‘Ranbir Kapoor’.

Music Album – Jodi Breakers

Music Critic: Goher Iqbal Punn

Producer: Prasar Vision
Director: Ashwini Chaudhary
Cast: R. Madhavan and Bipasha Basu
Music: Salim-Sulaiman
Lyrics: Irshad Kamil and Shabbir Ahmad

Prasar Vision’s production and Ashwini Chaudhary’s directed venture ‘Jodi Breakers’ stars the likes of R. Madhavan and Bipsha Basu in the main lead. The film has been well in news due to the pairing of Madhavan and Bipasha.  R. Madhavan gets a chance to show his histrionics as a solo hero in a Bollywood film. He is often seen in Hindi films but playing the second or third lead but this time around, he was fetched as a solo hero. Thanks to Bipasha who recommended his name for a hero opposite her in this flick. Bollywood often shows the weddings in the movies and this goes on in this enterprise. This comically rich flavor is expected to entice the viewers. The film features the leading characters – Madhavan and Bipasha who keep on breaking the relationships of others but doing so, they fall in love with each other.
The music of the film album has been scored by Salim-Sulaiman and the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil and Shabbir Ahmad. Let’s check out the music.
Kunwara [Salim Merchant]
The album starts with an active number sung by Salim Merchant (the musician of the album). The drumming and the instruments appeal to the ears. Salim injects pleasures in the souls with his energetic singing. The lyrics are good but not extraordinary. Composition is boisterous and foot tapping. The song lets the feet tap to the beats.
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Bipasha [Shradha Pandit and Shadab Faridi]
Next comes the song ‘Bipasha’ churned out after the name of the sultry Bollywood actress who is also the heroine of this film Bipasha Basu. Shrada impresses with her magical and attention-grabbing seductive voice. She really looks seductress with her rendition. The voice aptly fits to the Bollywood seductress Bipasha. Shadab attracts the souls with his crooning. Instruments in the background compliment with the renditions. Chorus too gels well with the track. Lyrics are well penned and the music is electrifying.
Rating: ★★★½☆
Darmiyan [Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Clinton Cerejo]
The next on the album cover is Darmiyan warbled by the famed classical Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Clinton Cerejo. Shafqat is the true life of this romantic track. Her shows his true talent in this track – the classical touch he gives and the singing he shows off, all is mesmerizing. Clinton appears classy with his English wordings emerged intermittently. The slowly placed instruments in the background are spellbinding and magical. Tabla sticks out the most. Lyrics are simply poetic and romantic, which raises the spirits. Music is sachcharine. The song will let you press the repeat button.
Rating: ★★★★½
Mujhko Teri Zaroorat Hai [Salim Merchant, Shadab Faridi and Shradha]
The song has good scope of the instruments placed in the background since they all allure the ears. Guitar is the one which is soothing. Salim and the other two singers – Shadab Faridi and Shradha impress with their rendition. Lyrics are good but not magical. Composition is average.
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Jab Main Tumhare Saath Hun [Benny Dayal, Shilpa Rao and Salim Merchant]
The track carries the trio of Benny Dayal, Shilpa Rao and Salim Merchant to croon the lines. The song contains variations – it becomes slow and then all of a sudden turns high-pitched. A foot tapping number, it carries good attractive vocals. The song is really a youth number. Instruments are mellifluous and so are the lyrics. Music is spongy.
Rating: ★★★½☆
Darmiyaan (Repirse) [Shreya Ghoshal]
Darmiyaan now comes in Reprise version.  Shreya injects the sugary effects into the song. She has super syrupy vocals, which always carve special niche in the hearts even making the normal songs classy – this is the beauty of Shreya that she displays all the time.
Rating: ★★★★☆
Bipasha (Remix) [Shradha Pandit and Salim Merchant]
The remix version is alluring and replaces Shadab to Salim Merchant. The song seems ordinary. The original is more beautiful in appeal than the remix.
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Mujhko Teri Zaroorat Hai (Remix) [Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shadab]
The remix version brings the entry of the classy and the hot singer of Pakistan whose songs are on every tongue of the Indians and Pakistanis, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Rahat displays histrionics and Shadab too lures the ears.
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Final Verdict:
Jodi Breakers is a well composed album that carries the spongy and mesmerizing tracks to play magic with the souls. Apart from the two numbers, rest of the album is what one likes to listen time and again.
Rating: ★★★½☆
